The Loire Valley

The Loire Valley in its simplicity and calm derives its seduction from the subtle ambient light: vast stretches of light blue sky, long perspectives of an oft nonchalant river, the tender reflections of still waterways, sunny hillsides of promising vineyards, cool valleys, pleasant flowery villages, peaceful vistas.

Throughout the year, the Loire valley lays out its magnificent finery of castles. In May and June, the green shades of the vegetation, the stillness of the air, the delicate finery of the flowers of the meadows and the trees endow the Valley with a special brilliance. The river is then of incomparable majesty. In July it is reduced to shallow meanders of water flowing between vast banks of golden sand.

In September, the mildness of the climate and the calm of the atmosphere which remains astonishingly transparent, bathes the region in a romantic charm during the grape harvest.
